A new study, 2 Maccabees: An Introduction to the Apocrypha will begin Thursday, January 5th at 6:30 PM. In this six-week study we will read and discuss the Second Book of Maccabees which tells the story of the Maccabean revolt against the Seleucid Empire in the second century B.C. The study will also include a brief introduction for those not familiar with the Apocrypha.
A new thirty-minute video will be available on Northgate’s website each week followed by a Zoom discussion session on Thursday evenings. It will not be necessary to have a Bible that includes the Apocrypha to participate in this study. The passages we will be reading will be included in the handouts on the website. A sign-up sheet is available in the Narthex, or you can contact Charlie Walden, or send an email to [email protected].
If you are unable to participate in the Zoom session, but would prefer an in-person discussion, please check with Charlie.
To join the ZOOM discussion, or if you have additional questions, please contact Charlie Walden or send an email to [email protected].
