The Daniel Additions: Introduction to the Apocrypha, a new 4-week online study, begins Monday, January 18.

The Prayer of Azariah and the Song of the Three Jews, Suzanna, and Bel and the Dragon are a part of the Greek version of the book of Daniel, though not included in the traditional Hebrew version.  These stories are found in the Apocrypha.

In this study we are going to briefly tell the story of Daniel, but we are going to read and discuss in more detail the additions from the Apocrypha.  The study will also provide background discussion on the Apocrypha, the setting for the book of Daniel, as well as the Second Temple period during which it was written.

It will not be necessary to have a Bible that includes the Apocrypha to participate in this study.  The passages we will be reading are fairly short and will be included in the handouts on the website.

Videos will be posted to the website each Tuesday, and there will be a ZOOM discussion the following Monday at 6:30pm. The first video session will be available here on Tuesday, January 12, followed by the Zoom discussion session at 6:30 pm on Monday, January 18.
