November’s featured recipe is “Easy Peach Cobbler”.  Enjoy!

 

Easy Peach Cobbler – Melba Dobbins

1/2 cup butter

1 3/4 cup sugar (divided use)

1 cup flour

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

3/4 cup milk

1 large can sliced peaches

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Melt butter in 9×13 pan in oven.  Combine 1 cup sugar, flour, and baking powder.  Stir in milk.  Pour mixture over melted butter.  DO NOT STIR.  Arrange sliced peaches evenly over batter, using a little of the juice.  DO NOT STIR.  Mix remaining 3/4 cup sugar with cinnamon.  Sprinkle over all.   Bake for 45-50 minutes, until crust is lightly browned.
