  There will be a meeting of the Church Council on Sunday, September 22nd, immediately following the 10:45am Worship Service. As a United Methodist church, this meeting is a special annual review of the total mission and ministry of our church. Everyone is welcome to attend this session! 

Happy 54th birthday, Northgate! That’s right – Northgate UMC is celebrating 54 years as the church with the big heart! August 25th also marked our third annual Heritage Potluck. We enjoyed lots of great food and shared stories. We’ll be working on collecting the recipes to share with our Northgate family and friends, so check back here often.

We would like to thank EVERYONE who made this year’s Rolling River Rampage Vacation Bible School such a GREAT ride! Special thanks to ALL of our marvelous volunteers  – most especially, our camp directors, Eddie & Natosha Burks.

Our Ignite Youth (Grades 6-12) is going to learn about managing money this Sunday, July 14th, from 12:30pm to 2:30pm (Olyn Howser Worship Activity Center – Rear Building). This special session (sponsored by Edward Jones) will address planning, budgeting, credit, investing, paying for college, and more. Lunch will be provided. Come join us for this wonderful opportunity!  

The United Methodist Women are hosting their annual Ice Cream Social on Sunday, June 30th, from 6-9pm. Ice cream, and all the fixin’s, along with fellowship and fun. It’s free – love donations accepted. We’ll even provide the spoons! Summer & ice cream & you – the perfect combination. See you there.

Rolling River Rampage – a Vacation Bible School program for all ages – is coming to Northgate June 20-22! 6:00pm – 8:30pm Thursday & Friday (6/20-6/21); 8:30am – 12:00pm Saturday (6/22). The Northgate United Methodist Men are once again organizing an evening of Texas Ranger baseball at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Tickets are $20, and the game is Wednesday, June 19th, when the Texas Rangers take on the Cleveland Indians. Thank you, Elation!, for blessing us with a wonderful performance of Godspell last weekend. It was a moving, memorable experience, and touched us all.  This group of 21 performers ranges in age from 12 to 18, and is based at St. Stephen’s UMC in Mesquite.
