January 3, 2019 – The Start of a New Year

As we begin another day’s journey and move into the new year, here is a thought to send you along your way.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Just in case you did not realize it, “we are all called to his purpose.”

We need to have an “I am” and an “I can” attitude. Take the following with you on your daily journey, and you will bring more joy into your life!

I am a new creation in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

I can live in perfect peace. (Isaiah 26:3)

I am slow to speak, quick to hear, and slow to anger. (James 1:19)

I can do all things through Christ, Who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

I am more than a conqueror in Christ. (Romans 8:37)

I can have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16)

I am dead to sin and alive to righteousness. (Romans 6:11)

I can overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21)

If we will work to incorporate these into our lives, then we will be on the road to achieve God’s purpose for our lives.

In His Service,

Pastor Orr
